Snow Trip!

This weekend I went to our Youth Snow Trip for our ward and man was it amazing. I was stupid enough not to bring my camera and take pics, but I can tell you all about it. On Friday after school we all met up at the church at 4 pm and left on our 4 hour car trip. We stopped up North at a Taco Bell to eat dinner, where they bought about 200 tacos, and then we were on our way to our Stake President's cabin. The girls went to the cabin and the boys boys went to another place (except the deacons who had to camp in the snow.) When we got there we couldn't pull in all the way to the cabin cause of all the snow and the cabin was about a half mile away. So, with our mighty muscles, we had to get our snow boots on and walk a half mile in the snow, carrying all of our stuff.
Talk about a great experience! After laughing, falling, and freezing our butts off in the snow. We finally managed to haul all our stuff to the cabin and get warm and toasty. We had a fireside and then got to bed. The next morning we woke up at 6:30 and had breakfast and got ready for the day. Luckily, our Stake President was nice enough to pull all our stuff in the back of his truck, so we could walk easily out to the main road. After walking to the main road we all left for about another 2 hour drive to the place we were going tubing.
When we got there, we got our snow clothes on and started having fun. I went down 7 times, which is a HUGE improvement from last year when I only went down once. Going in pairs, alone, and racing people was soooo much fun!!!!!!!!!! One of the leaders had to come up and get a group of us so we would come down for lunch. We ate lunch and then left for home. Besides getting the worst sunburn ever. And being called a tomato at church the next day, it was an amazing experience and I encourage all of you to go, who haven't been to thew snow. But, don't forget to WEAR SUNSCREEN!!! (Who would expect someone from Phoenix to know to put sunscreen on in the snow!!!)

It's over ALREADY!

Fall Break finally ended and we go back to school on Monday. Crazy right, my mom's excited, but I don't think I'm ready to go back yet. I don't know. All I know is I NEED to go back to school so that's the important thing, right. But the good thing is we won't get bored anymore. We went on a camping trip our first week of fall break, but our second week wasn't that exciting. With Halloween, my birthday, school, and all the after school activities I have going on though, I think I will be pretty busy for the rest of the month! We'll see! :)

Abbey's Birthday!!!

I recently went to one of my best friends birthday partys! She was turning 12 and we had a blast! We went to the mall, went shopping, Abbey got her ears pierced, then we went home and had pizza, and then watched a movie at her house. I just want to let her know she has been a awesome friend and I hope we will be friends forever!

Happy Father's Day!!!

On Father's Day, I gave my dad two movie tickets so him and my mom could go see Transformers 2, he liked it. My mom made my dad French Toast for breakfast (his favorite), while me and my brother wrapped his presents (surprisingly my brother did awesome at.) We went to church where he got a King Size Snickers Bar (and so did I, for passing them out) and then came home and had Spinach Dip for lunch, yum. We all took naps (well most of us) and then we had spaghetti for dinner. After that, my mom gave us pieces of her homemade Butterfinger cheesecake while we watched Transformers (best cheesecake I've EVER tasted.) I would just like to let my dad know he's awesome, and is a great example to me. He does a great job taking care of our family and watching over us. I don't know what I would do without him!

Girls Camp

Tuesday June 9th
Today we got to Taylor Ranch. We set up our kitchen area and tents, in windy weather. For dinner we had Hawaiian Haystacks. Challis, Quincie, Sarah, Bailey, and Kassie were in my tent.

Wednesday June 10th
Today we did our craft activity and make necklaces by hammering letters into metal tags. Our service project was picking up dead trees and putting them in piles so, Bro. Taylor could burn them. We cooked dinner, had a ward program, and then had a devotional.

Thursday June 11th
Today we went on our 3 mile hike (about 4.) I didn't bring water so I shared one of my friends. I got big blisters, though. I ended up freezing in my sleeping bag, that night.

Friday June 12th
Today we had many certification things to do: learn to tie knots, do the Heimlich maneuver, etc. Then we had Bishops night and had a testimony meeting. every single young women (about 25) bore their testimony, even the 1st years. Tonight I was a lot warmer.

Saturday June 13th
Packed up our things and had a 3 and a half hour drive home. I got home really sick with a cold I got Thursday, though.

It was a great experience and it strengthened my testimony in many ways. I hope you all get to go and have as much fun as I did.

Blake Esetlle Jackson

My aunt just had her second baby!!! She already has a little boy, and now a little girl. It's a girl named Blake Estelle Jackson. She weighs 8lb and 9oz, and has strawberry-blonde hair like her daddy. She was born in Lubbock, Texas at 1:56 p.m. (Texas time.) I know she's cute and she's going to have a great older brother, mom, and dad. As soon as I get pictures I will send them, if I can......I can't wait to see her!

Swim Team!!!

My mom signed me, Meagan, and Noah up for a swim team and it's really fun. We do many drills and strokes, however it's very tiring. You come home and your tired for a hour and then you feel like you have so much energy. It also makes you feel good and healthy. We have our first meet on Saturday against Greenfield and I am a little nervous. I'm glad my mom signed us up though, it will help build my stamina big time. Everyday from 6:25 a.m- 7:15 a.m I have swim team. We are required to wear our hair in a ponytail and bring goggles if you have them. With girls camp, swim team, and movies to go to every Wednesday we will never be bored!!!!
